In addition to the extracurricular ensembles offered by the program, the band also maintains very successful concert programs open to students during the school day second semester. In their last trip to Concert Festival, the SSS Wind Ensemble received a superior rating for their performance of their Grade 6 music. The Concert Band and the Wind Ensemble put on several concerts during the spring semester. Concert programs at Smithfield-Selma are available to students of all skill levels, from those who have never played an instrument before to those who have been playing for years.
