The Jazz Band is one of the band program's extracurricular activities. Students interested in becoming a part of the jazz band have to audition for a spot. The jazz band practices twice a week after school from November to May, performing a variety of charts, from swing and blues to rock. In addition to performing at all of the band's spring concerts and at Percussion Theater, the jazz band also regularly receives invitations to perform for various events, such as school functions, award banquets, community events, and political rallies.
